Citrix isn’t the only way to connect to your drive at school (different years have different letters). You can do this with FTP also. For this you need separate program, f.ex. Filezilla. Depending on which program you use the views can be different. First you input the information in the program File –> Site Manager…. Host should be tpu.fi and Server Type SFTP. Username and password are the ones you use with the school system to log in (remember to change your password in the program when you change it in the school system).

After this click the connect button and vóila.

Server space provided by school usually doesn’t cut it. USB memory stick is handy when you need to transport data from home to school. But when you need to share even a bit larger files to others the stick isn’t enough. Dropbox is a great tool for sharing files to others and for storage. Register for free at Dropbox.com. The free account offers 2GB of space.

You can use the OMA database to renew your school library loans. Use your library card number to sign in. If you haven’t set a PIN code then use the default.

You can also renew loans with your school username/password. The system first asks which school you’re from and after that you can sign in normally.

Usually the queueing goes just fine but some days it seems to be somehow impossible for some people to do it without destroying everyone’s lives.
