Terveisiä Tarinasta…

eli Tampereen ammattikorkeakoulun Kuvataiteen, Elokuvan- ja television ja Degree programme in Median Osaamiskeskuksen (tuttujen kesken TTVO:n) opiskelijajärjestöstä. Tehtävänämme on ajaa ja edistää toimipisteemme opiskelijoiden etuja sekä kehittää Finlaysonin kampusta mahdollisimman hyväksi ympäristöksi olla ja oppia. Sitä tässä on nyt myös tehty.

Aloittaessani puheenjohtajana vuoden 2011 alussa, asetin Tarinalle tavoitteita, joiden saavuttaminen vaatisi loistavan porukan, suuren työmäärän sekä paljon ulkopuolista tukea. Niin kävikin, tavoitteita saavutettiin ja nyt puolen vuoden jälkeen, voin pysähtyä hetkeksi ja ihastella työmme hedelmiä. Kiitos tästä kaikesta kuuluu koko hallitukselle, henkilökunnalle, opiskelijoille ja kaikille meitä tukeneille – kiitos! Toimintamme kasvaa edelleen nopeaa vauhtia uusien tempauksien, tapahtumien ja kehitystoiminnan kautta, joten tarvitsemme aina uusia kasvoja ideoimaan, toteuttamaan ja kehittämään Tarinan toimintaa. Nyt täytyy kuitenkin lopettaa hedelmien ihastelu ja palata hommiin. Toivotan teille kaikille hyviä hetkiä arkeen ja rientoihin. Muistakaa kaiken touhun välissä levätä ja pitää mielessä, että kaiken tämän opiskelun ohessa tulee myös hemmotella itseään.

Hello from Tarina…

i.e. the student organization for the Center of Expertise of the Fine Arts and Movie and TV studies, as well as the Degree Programme in Media at the Tampere University of Applied Sciences (a.k.a.TTVO). It is our mission to support our students and to develop the Finlayson campus so it can be the ideal environment for living and learning. And I am happy to say we have been doing just that.

At the beginning of my term as the chairman for Tarina back in early 2011, I set some goals for us to reach that would require a spanking bunch of people, tons of work, and quite an amount of help from outside the organization. We did manage to do all this, and therefore, after six productive months, I can stop for a minute to enjoy the fruits of our labor. For this I want to give thanks to all the board members, the staff, the students, and anyone else that has supported us throughout the project. As we are continuously developing as an organization through new campaigns, events and development activities, we are always in search of new people to help us come up with new ways to develop Tarina. Now it is time, however, to stop feeling smug about ourselves and to get back to work. I hope you all have a great end of the year. Remember to rest enough and to pamper yourselves while studying hard.
